K-5 Reflection
When I started my education, I skipped pre-school, but that wasn't really my choice. I went straight to Kindergarten at St. John's with the best teacher ever, Mrs. Manley. I can’t remember much , but I will try. I started early in sports, but just in basketball where there was a Catholic school K-2 league. There was an A-team and a B-team. I can’t remember if there was a difference in skill level or not, but I doubt it. The league was started by my dad and my older sister, where many small Catholic schools split into two divisions then whoever was first out of those two divisions, got to compete in the championship for the league title and received little bobble-head, gold trophies. I was on the A-team with Christian Snell and Chris Anstett. Even though there wasn't a distinction in skill level between the two teams, the A-team was definitely better and everyone knew it. The best moment of each season was when the B-team scrimmaged the A-team. It was fun, but also competitive because we were all friends that actually wanted to destroy each other, just to prove that one was better than the other. For the actual school part of K-5, some things I can remember was the weather bear, the awesome counting caterpillar rug that everyone loved. Also, nap time was definitely something I took for granted because now I wish I had a nap time almost every day I'm in school. As far as grades first- third, I don’t remember anything besides recess and butterflies being released. This was all a very long time ago, but from what I can remember it seemed like fun.
